Slab Leak Detection & Repair in Las Vegas, NV
A warm spot on the tile in your Centennial Hills kitchen. A water bill that jumped $40 for no reason. The hiss of running water with every fixture off. Welcome to the signature Las Vegas plumbing problem — and our specialty.
Why Las Vegas is slab-leak country
Nearly every Las Vegas home sits on a slab-on-grade foundation, most of them post-tensioned, with copper water lines embedded in or beneath the concrete. Three local factors conspire against those pipes. Caliche — the cemented calcium-carbonate layer common across the valley — doesn't move, so pipe pressed against it grinds under load. Pockets of expansive desert clay swell when wetted by irrigation overspray, a leaky line, or monsoon runoff, then shrink in the dry months, heaving and settling the slab in cycles that fatigue the copper. And 16 gpg hard water does its own damage from the inside: slow internal corrosion thins pipe walls until a pinhole opens.
The result is a leak that dumps water — sometimes hundreds of gallons a day — under your foundation. Caught early, it's a $2,000–$5,000 plumbing job. Ignored, it saturates expansive clay unevenly, heaves one corner of the slab, cracks tile and drywall, and invites the kind of foundation conversation nobody wants to have.
Detect first, cut second
We locate leaks with acoustic listening equipment, thermal imaging, and pressure isolation before anyone touches concrete. That gives you a marked spot, a documented report for your insurance company, and a repair plan chosen on evidence. Where the repair makes sense, we offer two paths: a targeted spot repair through the slab (carefully — post-tension tendons are located and avoided before any coring), or a reroute through the attic, which abandons the failing under-slab line and runs new pipe overhead the way most Las Vegas repipes are done. If more than one leak has shown up, or the copper is thin throughout, we'll tell you the reroute-or-repipe truth instead of selling you repeated slab surgery.
